The area was predominantly farmland in the early 20th century. The Bridle Path was little more than farmland until 1929, when the Bayview Bridge was constructed across the steep (West Branch) Don River Valley. It was at that point that the area was first considered for residential development. The neighborhood was named after the intricate network of equestrian bridle paths that were originally planned for the area. The paths have since been paved over, but the neighborhood's wide streets and name are a reminder of its origins. The Bridle Path has been home to many wealthy and well-known people, including Conrad Black, Prince, and Drake.

Amenities and Lifestyle

The homes in the Bridle Path come with an array of top-tier amenities tailored to the lifestyle of the ultra-wealthy. Many properties feature home cinemas, wine cellars, private indoor pools, and saunas. Large, multi-car garages and private security systems are standard in this neighborhood, offering both convenience and peace of mind to residents. Outdoor spaces often include professionally designed gardens, courtyards, fountains, and tennis courts.
